It really did begin at a 250-watt daytime station, in 1969, which at the time was WPDF 1550-AM in Corydon, IN. The station was owned by Les Cook’s parents. They gave me my first radio position! I’ve had the privilege of working at several area stations, including WAKY 790-AM … where I worked as overnight DJ, Production/Promotions and, as WAKY-AM’s last Program Director. I also managed stations in Southern New Jersey and Central Illinois. After more than a few years out of the business, I’m happily back at WAKY 103.5. Primarily as a sales representative, but still spend a couple of hours each weekend being a WAKY “jock” and playing the music I first played when they were new!I would love to hear from you so don't hesitate to email me!
